During the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, The Burning Season's producer/director Cathy Henkel and her team forged new relationships with other filmmakers and those interested in climate change, forests and orangutans. A strong partnership has developed between the filmmaker and New York based Orangutan Outreach who continue to support and promote the film. Richard Zimmerman from Orangutan Outreach introduced Cathy to Harriet Balkind the founding partner of an award winning LA based marketing company, Bemis Balkind. Harriet organised for Cathy to meet with the CEO of the company, Peter Bemis who offered to design the posters for THE BURNING SEASON free of charge.
Cathy visited Peter and his team in L.A on her way home from New York for an extended meeting about the film and how to best represent it to audiences. The company subsequently delivered eight designs.
